A Trip to Fulong (Sand Sculpture Festival)

I have watched lots of Sand Sculpture on TV but this is the first time I can join this Sand Sculpture Festival 2010 in Taiwan. It is a great experience. From Taipei station to Fulong by train cost NT 130 with an entrance fee of NT 70 (student's price).

Did you see the muscular guy (with black glasses)? Nice body??.....but he is a girly guy with muscular body haha....

"Perfect" English

I have been staying in Taiwan almost a year and I realize something very different as compare to Malaysia. Mandarin is the main language in Taiwan and the second language will be "Tai Yu" which is quite difficult to understand even though it sounds like our local dialete, Hokkien in Malaysia. Taiwanese worships those who speak English. I mean "speak"......whatever English words which come out from your mouth even though they are not in proper sentence or grammar......Huh? strange? Don't really understand what I meant? haha........No matter how bad, broken, lousy English you speak......they will look at you with their "sparkling" eyes just like telling you that you are such a brilliant human being in the whole world. On the other hand, if you speak bad, broken or lousy English in Malaysia......Malaysian will look at you with their "sparkling" eyes too.....but with different motive. I think in their mindset they will think "How dare she or he speaks such broken English". However, there are still some taiwanese who speak perfect English (the probability is very low).

I realize some parents who don't speak good English are still trying to communicate with their children with English. I know it is a good way to improve English by communicating everyday. However, if you are using the wrong grammar and incorrect words......you will make it worse. So dear parents, please stop doing what you are doing now......to save your kids...... :p

I think I have falling in love with photo shooting......recently I have read my friend's friend's blog, his photo shooting skill is extraordinary......I don't have any expensive or multi function camera.....so I just try to capture the photos as beautiful as I can.....and I realize that I'm not really good in capturing scenery as compare to food images (may be I love food more than scenery haha).....I still need professional advice and more practice haha.....To have good photo shooting skill needs creativity too : ) I think there is a little part of my body telling me that I do have the creativity....and I believe that some day I will have my own style of photos....hehe

My first handmade Giraffe

There are lots of things to be learnt in Taiwan.....actually my main purpose is to learn more in cake baking but I have learnt something else not related in baking.....ha : ) ......I have spent almost a month on my giraffe.....this is especially for my godson, Cyrus Chiang. However I only manage to pass it to him when I am back to Kuching end of this year. I hope he loves it : )
